Computer Lab Assistant
Yes! Started my new job as a computer lab assistant at Kent State Stark. It is wonderful! I get to help students with computer problems and then I just clean the computer stations in every classroom and make sure that they are functioning properly. Clean printers and make sure they are functioning properly. There is a lot of downtime so I can get a lot of work done. Or if I don’t have any work I can pretty much just chill and have fun. I’m really excited about it and can’t wait till I’m doing this as my main job.

I never used my DVD burner in Ubuntu up until I wanted to burn an ISO. And I really didn’t want to switch over to Windows to do it. Remember ALL things are possible with Ubuntu…well almost all things. Here’s what you need to do. Right click on the ISO and click on write to disk. It’s that simple… If your ISO is compressed in a .rar format then download winrar from terminal: sudo apt-get install rar
No commentsYay New Laptopz!

Yay! I got a laptop! It’s a Dell XPS M1210, which happens to be a nice little package. Only weighing 4.5lbs with a screen size of 12inches, but it packs a nice little punch of 2GB ram, 2.1GHZ and Nvidia Geforce Go 7400. The only thing I’ve noticed disappointing about the laptop is that the Ac-Adapter is already starting to malfunction. A replacement is at least $55 US dollars. So I’m going to have to call Dell about it and most likely get a replacement. I was looking at reviews about the Ac-Adapters on laptops, especially Dells, and a lot of them malfunction really quick. Maybe the Adapters aren’t made with as much love and care as the laptops are at Dell? Also… one dead pixel. (sigh) it was used and it’s only one friggen pixel. Regardless it was a great buy.
